Hi all. My name is Lisa Corp and I am currently working as the Student & Volunteer Coordinator. I have fulfilled this role for the last six years.
Before that I worked at Arc Industries beginning February 2, 1988. Yes, Groundhog Day. I get up shower, go to Community Living and come home and start the next day again. 🙂
I was fortunate enough to be part of the “Other than Sheltered Work” planning and took the opportunity to support people in accessing their community in a meaningful and appropriate way. From Douro St to Sherbrooke, to Marina Blvd, to the west wing to finally working out of the main office.
I have a great appreciation for the agency’s ability to support staff in finding roles within the agency in which they love to work. People ask, “Are you bored, are you tired of the same old?” My answer, absolutely not! When I need change, I find change within the agency, and I have been supported each and every time to do so.
Covid has taught me that I am not ready to retire and be at home so I will be around for a while to come. I look forward to meeting the many with whom I have still not worked.
