POSITION SUMMARY:
4 -Year Contract Clinician Position
Working within the context of a partnership collaboration, the Clinician will provide therapeutic interventions, and addiction and harm reduction supports, advocacy, linkages to youth, ages 12-25. Supports will include a range of interventions and include solution focused narrative therapy. The Clinician will also provide training and support to partner organizations to increase their capacity to work with the targeted population of youth.

Full-time 75 hours biweekly
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor/Master of Social Work, Psychology, or related degree, with a postgraduate certificate in Addictions and Mental Health, or an equivalent combination of work experience and education
* Current Certificate of Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW); Or Current registration with The Collage of Psychotherapy
* Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a related position preferred, ideally in a community-based setting
* Experience working with black youth and people of color, First Nations, Métis and Inuit and 2SLGBTQ+ peoples is an asset. This position will have a specialty focus on supporting people with one or more of the following self-identifications: gender diverse, LGBTQI, neuro diverse, intellectual disability, FASD, and learning disability.
* Current First Aid & Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), or willing to obtain
* Ability to provide a range of evidence-based interventions and have knowledge and experience in harm reduction
* Ability to work with clients with complex needs and trauma history
* Background in anti-oppression and antiracism and inclusion including knowledge of supporting LGBTQ+ youth and creating positive spaces
* Strong communication skills
* Knowledge of rural communities and ability to act as an advocate and accessing and maintaining services.
* Demonstrated knowledge of community resources for connecting individuals to services within their community including health and medical, recreation / leisure, skill building and volunteer opportunities.
* Demonstrated knowledge of person-centered planning, QAM indicators, behavioral support needs, rights, and community connecting
* Demonstrated communication, organization and time management, conflict resolution, and advocacy skills
* Demonstrated ability to work independently
* Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making competencies.
* Demonstrated ability in the attainment of person supported outcomes.
* Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification and Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening.
* Valid Class G Driver’s License and Acceptable Driver’s Abstract and double vaccinated in Covid 19.
* Access to a reliable vehicle and proof of valid vehicle insurance including passenger coverage.
* Relevant experience with intellectual disabilities.
* Proficiency in Computer Literacy (Microsoft office, e-mail, internet).
SALARY:
Hourly Wage: $35.90
Annual Salary: $70,000.00
