Here is our latest Covid update from Teresa Jordan, our Executive Director.
July 23, 2021
To CLTH Families and Community,
The end of July draws near, and we have entered stage three of reopening as a province. This is a hopeful sign for all of us that we can hope for some wonderful things in the near future, the kinds of things that we used to take for granted, but never will again.
As the province opens, we continue to receive guidance about our programs here at CLTH. I am happy to report that should the guidance and cases remain on the current path all our programs that have been closed or modified will be reopening in September. This will in include in person programs and meetings.
For the community homes in all three areas there is little change. We welcome essential visitors to our homes, while an appointment is not required, it is impo11ant to call ahead so that space for the visit can be accommodated. PPE is still required when not able to social distance, in addition to screening, share contact information and remain in a designated place. Brief physical contact is permitted. Please contact your coordinator if you have questions or would like to explore this option. Time away from the community home with essential people is also allowed with some agreed to measures in place to lessen
the risk. If you are desiring a visit, please reach out to set this up. Non-essential visitors- meaning not a family member or a support person, are also allowed, but must be pre-scheduled and are subject to the same screening and other measures.
I cannot say enough how much the support of our families and community has meant as we have worked
to navigate all the changing demands of the pandemic and its infection control measures. Here is to my
next pandemic letter being my last. Have a wonderful summertime.
