Following is a message from our Executive Director, Teresa Jordan, released today December 22nd.

Dear Family and Friends of CLTH,
As we enter this most festive season, here in Ontario, we are facing a surge in COVID cases as the Omicron variant sweeps its way through our communities and neighbourhoods. I do not have to make anyone aware that this is proving to be a very contagious variant and that we are once again needing to take extreme precautions in order to keep people safe. Things are changing daily, and we are responding as quickly as possible. At this time, we are working to implement changes in testing and PPE requirements. We are still reviewing visits and outings from the homes, at this time they continue with careful scrutiny of risk for each venture being considered by managers.
The outreach programs are being closely reviewed in light of changing COVID numbers and public health expectations, any changes to their delivery will be communicated out once decided.
Lastly, I regret to inform you that CL TH once again finds itself in outbreak at one of our homes in Peterborough. We are working closely with Peterborough Public Health to navigate this outbreak in the new territory of the Omicron variant. Across the agency, teams have been diligent and have worked so hard to keep all control measures in place and successful controls have worked for many months. Huge thanks to all the teams for their diligence.
